EAA Chapter 180 is Sarasota and Bradenton’s Premier Pilot Association. As a leading Chapter within the National Experimental Aircraft Association, our organization focuses on the love of Aviation, camaraderie between Pilots and Aviation Enthusiasts, with a primary mission to preserve that love to fly!

EAA Chapter 180 is a “who’s who” community with Aviation is the Sarasota, Florida area. At EAA 180, there is a wonderful mix of ages, professions, and backgrounds which makes for wonderful camaraderie. Our members primarily consist of a growing group of General Aviation Enthusiasts, Student Pilots, Professional and Recreational Pilots, Business Men and Women, from all walks of life that love the same things you do. Our Chapter brings forth a sense of community and belonging like no other. EAA Chapter 180 members often establish new and exciting friendships that can last for a lifetime. We are proud of our service to Aviation as well as our devotions and commitments to introducing others, especially local youth into our Young Eagles Programs. The fact that we have monthly presentations, and quarterly Aviation Social events is the topping on the cake!

Young Eagles Programs

At EAA Chapter 180, we don’t just take from the community, we give back to the community! Our Young Eagles Program is all about giving one of the most exciting flights a child would ever have. A Plane, A Pilot, and a kid with dreams are paired up, and we pass along the legacy you have come to love. EAA Volunteers come together once per month to host this amazing event averaging over 45 kids per month!

How Much Does It Cost To Join Chapter 180?

Joining Chapter 180 doesn’t cost you anything as it pays you back with friendships, respect, loyalty and more.  However, because we are a non-profit organization giving back to the community youth, we ask for first year donation of $45.00 and a subsequent annual membership donation of $35.00 every year there after.  100% of this donation goes to our cause as there are no paid employees of our Chapter.  $10.00 of every membership donation goes towards a Scholarship that is given to a deserving Student Pilot, and the remainder goes towards supporting our Young Eagles and Pilot Events!

How Can I Join EAA Chapter 180?

Joining is easy, simply fill out our Membership Application.  Once you have completed the application, and made the $45.00 donation, you are all set!   You will recieve a New Member Packet, and Club T-Shirt.  We will anounce to the member body via our Yahoo Groups that you have Joined us, and look forward to seeing you at the next EAA Chapter Meeting which is held on the 4th Wednesday of every month at the Dan McClure Auditorium at the Sarasota International Airport.
